If you’re not sure what to get, this is usually the answer. Big enough for a proper job, small enough to sit on a normal suburban driveway.

No building waste in general or green bins. General and green waste bins, in every size including the 2m³, 3m³ and 4m³, are for household rubbish and garden waste only. No soil, concrete, bricks, tiles, renovation waste or other building products. If you have building waste, or large amounts of MDF cabinets and furniture, you’ll need to upgrade to a builders bin. Soil, concrete, bricks and tiles can go in our 2m³ to 8m³ builders & mixed bins with no weight limit, but not in the 9m³ or 12m³ light builders bins.
Landscapers and concreters book the 4m³ more than any other size. Paired with a mini excavator or Dingo, you can dig and load straight into it through the door, with no weight limit to worry about.
For general household rubbish it holds a surprising amount too, especially if you break down furniture and flatten cardboard before loading.
Soil, clay, sand, rock, bricks, tiles, pavers and concrete count as heavy waste. Our 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8m³ bins take it with no weight limit. Pure concrete loads (reo is fine) get a cheaper rate.
Compare every size ›Please keep out asbestos, paints and chemicals, any liquids, gas cylinders, kitchen waste, stumps, fake turf and silica dust. Old mattresses or tyres are fine for a small per-item fee.
